Following a new iGaming content agreement, ORYX Gaming is now live in Spain with 888 Casino

Oryx Gaming, one of the most celebrated names in the casino gaming industry, has extended its long-standing cooperation with 888 Holdings plc (LSE: 888), a Gibraltar-based gambling corporation, after launching its content with the company’s primary online casino brand, 888casino, in Spain.

The newly reached agreement strengthens Bragg Gaming Group’s (NASDAQ: BRAG) subsidiary’s market position in the southern European country. It already has ties with several significant licensees in a “key” regulated market.

Details of the agreement

The arrangement saw certain games from Oryx’s remote gaming server (RGS) catalog offered in Spain via 888casino as part of 888’s product and content leadership strategy. Of importance to note is that additional titles will be released soon. Some exclusive material from Oryx’s in-house studio and the Bragg Gaming Group-owned Atomic Slot Lab and games from Oryx’s newest RGS partner, Blue Guru Games, are included in the offering.

Customers in Spain will be happy to learn that they may now access a games library that includes a wide range of one-of-a-kind and localized titles with fascinating features, themes, and mechanics from some of the industry’s most sought-after and innovative developers. The addition will complement the popular online casino’s current high-quality, content-rich games. Talya Benyamini, VP B2C Casino at 888, said the company is “pleased” to expand its association with Oryx Games and make its content available to 888 Casino players residing in Spain.

“This will provide our customers with an increased portfolio of dynamic and exciting titles, which is an important part of our product and content-leadership strategy,” said Talya Benyamini.

Oryx Gaming first partnered with 888 Holdings in July 2020, integrating the provider’s RGS platform content. The partnership included providing proprietary games and premium titles from leading partner studios such as Gamomat, a German online premium game developer, Golden Hero Games, Givme Games, and Kalamba Games, a Malta and Krakow-based international games studio. In addition, the expansion comes on the heels of agreements with 888casino for the UK and Swiss iGaming sectors.

But thanks to the current agreement in place, Oryx’s presence in Spain, where the firm had already secured partnerships with several leading licensees, had been boosted in a meaningful manner.

A growth plan that works

Chris Looney also weighed in on the alliance as Chief Commercial Officer for Bragg. He argued that they were “very pleased” to collaborate with 888casino, “one of the world’s leading online casino brands, having launched our premium content portfolio with them in new and established markets.” Chris Looney further said that extending their “successful collaboration to Spain is a great next step as we continue to execute our growth strategy across key regulated markets together with trusted and leading partners.”

The total addressable market, or TAM, for the online casino business in the southern European country is expected to be around the US $0.53 billion in the year 2022. That’s according to British betting and gaming consultancy H2 Gambling Capital.

Oryx says the market expansion “builds on a strong 2021” for the company, which has entered four new jurisdictions: the Czech and Slovakian markets in January with SYNOT Group brands SYNOT INTERACTIVE and EASIT; Switzerland in March with Grand Casino Luzern’s online brand; and Greece in August with Novibet after receiving a supply license there. It has also introduced its content with 80 new operators and 140 new brands, and three new iGaming platform agreements.
